Last Updated: June 2026

Checklist ("Checklist", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the information entrusted to us by businesses and service providers who use our platform. This Vendor Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information relating to Vendors who register for, access, or use the Checklist platform. By creating a Vendor account, submitting information to Checklist, or otherwise using the platform as a Vendor, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of information as described herein.

1. Information We Collect

In order to operate the platform, verify businesses, facilitate customer interactions, and improve our services, Checklist may collect information that Vendors voluntarily provide during registration, onboarding, profile creation, verification, and ongoing use of the platform. This information may include your business name, business category, contact details, physical address, website, social media profiles, descriptions of products and services, pricing information, portfolio content, images, videos, promotional materials, and any other information submitted as part of your listing. Where applicable, Checklist may also collect information required to verify your business, including business registration documents, licences, permits, certifications, identification documents, or other supporting documentation. Submission of certain documents may be optional; however, Checklist reserves the right to request additional information where necessary to support its verification process or maintain the integrity of the platform. In addition, Checklist may collect information relating to your use of the platform, including login activity, profile updates, inquiry responses, booking activity, messaging activity, and interactions with platform features.

2. How We Use Your Information

Checklist uses Vendor information to create and manage accounts, verify businesses, publish listings, facilitate customer inquiries and bookings, provide customer support, maintain platform security, improve platform functionality, and communicate important updates relating to the platform. Information may also be used to monitor compliance with our policies, investigate potential misuse of the platform, prevent fraud, respond to legal obligations, and maintain the safety and trust of our marketplace.

From time to time, Checklist may use information relating to Vendor listings for marketing and promotional purposes, including showcasing businesses across our website, social media channels, digital advertising campaigns, newsletters, and other promotional materials.

3. Public Information

The purpose of Checklist is to help customers discover and connect with businesses. As a result, certain information submitted by Vendors is intended to be publicly visible through the platform. Information that may be displayed publicly includes business names, descriptions, services, products, packages, menus, images, videos, locations, contact information selected for display, reviews, ratings, verification status, and other listing content intended for customer viewing. By creating and maintaining a listing on Checklist, you acknowledge and agree that information designated as public may be displayed to customers and visitors of the platform.

4. Customer Information Shared with Vendors

Checklist may provide Vendors with customer information necessary to facilitate inquiries, bookings, appointments, reservation requests, quotation requests, and other customer interactions initiated through the platform. Vendors are expected to use such information solely for purposes directly related to the customer's request or engagement. Vendors must take reasonable steps to protect customer information and must not sell, rent, distribute, misuse, or disclose such information to unauthorised third parties. Checklist is not responsible for how Vendors handle customer information once it has been shared with them, and Vendors remain solely responsible for complying with any applicable privacy or data protection obligations.

5. Sharing of Information

Checklist does not sell Vendor information to third parties. We may share information where necessary to operate the platform, provide services, fulfil legal obligations, protect the rights and safety of users, or support legitimate business operations. This may include sharing information with technology providers, hosting providers, analytics services, communication providers, payment partners, professional advisers, or regulatory authorities where required by law. In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing transaction, or sale of all or part of the business, Vendor information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

6. Marketing and Promotional Use

Checklist may use publicly available Vendor content, including business names, logos, photographs, videos, descriptions, reviews, and listing information, for promotional and marketing purposes related to the platform. Such use may include publication on the Checklist website, social media channels, advertising campaigns, newsletters, press materials, vendor spotlights, and other promotional content intended to showcase businesses featured on the platform. Ownership of Vendor content remains with the Vendor, subject to the permissions granted to Checklist under the Vendor Terms & Conditions.

7. Data Security

Checklist takes reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. While we strive to maintain appropriate safeguards, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Vendors acknowledge that information transmitted over the internet is done at their own risk.

8. Data Retention

Checklist retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the platform, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, investigate misuse, and support the ongoing operation of the business. Even where a Vendor account is closed or removed, certain information may be retained where required for legitimate business, legal, regulatory, security, or record-keeping purposes.

9. Cookies and Analytics

Checklist may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to enhance user experience, maintain platform functionality, understand user behaviour, improve platform performance, and support security measures. By using the platform, Vendors consent to the use of such technologies in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Vendors may adjust browser settings to manage cookie preferences, although certain features of the platform may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.

10. Vendor Rights

Vendors may request corrections to information relating to their account where information is inaccurate or incomplete. Subject to applicable legal and operational requirements, Vendors may also request closure of their account or removal of certain information. Checklist reserves the right to retain information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the integrity of the platform.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Checklist may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business operations, legal obligations, or industry practices. Any revised version will be published on the platform with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform following publication of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
