Welcome to Checklist.lk. By accessing or using our website, platform, tools, or services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use Checklist.lk.


1. About Checklist.lk

Checklist.lk is a wedding and events planning platform that helps users discover vendors, organise planning, manage budgets, track tasks, and connect directly with service providers.

Checklist.lk does not act as an agent, broker, or intermediary for bookings or payments between users and vendors.


2. Eligibility & Account Registration

To access certain features of Checklist.lk, you must create an account.

By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • The information you provide is accurate and up to date
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.


3. Creating Events & Using Tools

To access planning tools such as trackers, budgets, timelines, messaging, and saved vendors, you must create at least one event on the platform.

Each event acts as a planning workspace.

Checklist.lk may update or enhance tools over time to improve user experience.


4. Vendor Listings & Interactions

Checklist.lk curates and onboards vendors before listing them on the platform. However:

  • Checklist.lk does not guarantee the quality, availability, pricing, or performance of any vendor
  • All communication, negotiations, agreements, and bookings happen directly between users and vendors
  • Checklist.lk is not responsible for disputes, cancellations, delays, or unsatisfactory services

Users are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before confirming bookings.


5. Messages & Communication

The platform provides messaging tools to help users communicate with vendors in an organised manner.

While messages may be categorised by vendor type for ease, Checklist.lk does not monitor or control the content of conversations and is not responsible for outcomes resulting from such communication.


6. Payments, Fees & Subscriptions

Checklist.lk:

  • Does not take commissions on vendor bookings
  • Does not handle payments between users and vendors

Vendors may be required to pay a subscription fee to be listed on the platform.

All subscription terms, pricing, and payment details will be communicated clearly to vendors.

Checklist.lk is not responsible for payments made outside the platform.


7. Refund Policy

Checklist.lk provides immediate access to digital platform features upon successful subscription payment.

Because access and services are activated instantly:

  • Subscription payments are non-refundable
  • Refunds are not applicable for partially used subscription periods
  • Vendors are responsible for reviewing subscription details before purchase


8. Subscription Cancellation Policy

Vendors may cancel their subscription at any time through their account dashboard.

  • Cancellation prevents future billing
  • Vendors retain access until the end of the paid billing period
  • No refunds are issued for the current billing cycle


9. Deals, Offers & Promotions

Any deals or offers displayed on Checklist.lk are provided by vendors.

Checklist.lk does not guarantee availability, pricing accuracy, or fulfilment of such offers and is not liable for disputes related to promotions.


10. Content & Intellectual Property

All content on Checklist.lk, including but not limited to:

  • Text
  • Design
  • Logos
  • Graphics
  • Platform features

is the intellectual property of Checklist.lk unless otherwise stated.

Users and vendors may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or misuse platform content without written permission.


11. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for unlawful purposes
  • Post false, misleading, or harmful information
  • Harass, abuse, or impersonate others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or data

Checklist.lk reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.


12. Account Suspension & Termination

Checklist.lk may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion if:

  • These terms are violated
  • False information is provided
  • Misuse of the platform occurs

Users may request account deletion by contacting support@checklist.lk.


13. Limitation of Liability

Checklist.lk is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Checklist.lk is not liable for:

  • Losses or damages arising from vendor services
  • Financial losses, delays, or cancellations
  • Technical issues, downtime, or data loss

Use of the platform is at your own risk.


14. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of Checklist.lk is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.


15. Changes to These Terms

Checklist.lk reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.


16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
